Right from scratch, the Copal team had a common ambition to make an innovative and efficient working systems. They used for example the last years to further develop and optimise the machines. “There is a very mobile bit of mechanics in it that picks up the boxes using suction pads and moves them with a smooth motion. Thanks to current smooth machine movements you can work much faster and the capacity of the machine increases dramatically, with no bodily exertion required by the operator.”
Meanwhile, a wide range of systems have been launched on the market.
Bosman was a major shareholder and investor in Copal Handling Systems. He invests several million in the company that not only develops the systems, but also assembles them. To make this possible the old company premises on the Lengelseweg in ‘s-Heerenberg were replaced by a completely new factory and office.
In 2011 Wim Bosman, former owner/CEO of the Wim Bosman Group, a globally operating logistical service provider, saw the prototypes of the C1 Container Unloader & Palletizer. He saw the system’s potential and the potential to fine-tune the machines. “Well, blood is thicker than water”, he says with a smile. “I was looking for a project to invest in. And as an engineer in the logistics business I like to contribute to innovation in the branch.”
Mr. Bosman passed away on November 10, 2017 at the age of 76.
